Damn. So many 5's to give.
Key is so awesome.
The White House Correspondents’ Dinner has had some incredible stuff over the years. The Stephen Colbert one is incredible too.
well, ok, so it's just "old guy is old" jokes now?
Did jangbones, Gmork and Change put you up to this?
The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is an annual celebration of the fact that politicians and the press don't even have an adversarial relationship anymore. They're just putting on a show. I wonder how much the WHCD gift basket is worth?
are they in a gang or something?
They're gangstalking me.
I'd love to find some of the early ones. At least according to Wikipedia, they were hosted by the likes of Bob Hope, Peter Sellers, etc. and steadily declined. Hey let's get Paula Poundstone and Sinbad!
Or at least Richard Pryor hosting the one when LBJ was prez.. looks like they didn't have the dinners at all when Nixon was in office.

Oh, the audience response shots. It is like they were watching a towel-less Geraldo. Exquisite.

If nothing else, I'm gonna miss Obama because he's the first president I feel like I can personally connect with. Like, I meet him at a bar or something and we talk about how Tom Goes to the Mayor was pretty funny but Tim and Eric kind of sucked, and about how neither of us give a shit about Kanye West even though we all share Bush-hating in common.. things like that. Bill was a great president, but he was just sort of like your friend's cool dad, not like a relatable peer. 10 bucks says that if Hilary's elected she gets someone like Kevin James or Dane Cook. It's got nothing to do with her abilities as President, but Obama's sure been fun for that reason alone.

It's just like the Oscars now, except without the awards. Politics has died in this country.
Politics died long ago. It's a zombie now.

I read an article about Key & Peele that detailed that they were once invited to the White House because Barak loved this particular skit so much he had to see it done in person.
