Or you could just, you know, write.
It is an interesting concept for a game though.
Hey man, just take your trust fund stipend and go write for a year or two, you'll thank me later.
Those assholes had a point, however.
Besides, there is a fundamental difference between Guitar Hero and Writing Hero. Guitar Hero provides players with an illusion of accomplishment; an immersive fantasy that lets them feel as if they've actually attained a high degree of proficiency with this difficult-to-master skill. With Guitar Hero, you hit a couple buttons, and all of a sudden, you are Jimi Hendrix, performing a power-ballad in front of a sold-out arena crowd. You are Devon Townsend, kicking ass.
There's no such payoff here! You're just writing, and what you write is apparently neither better nor worse than what you'd write anyway. It's not like some author simulator, where you do a QuickTime Event and OH LOOK, all of a sudden, you're Stephen King, and you've just pounded out ten chapters of your latest best-selling nove; you're Kerouac, and now CGI hipsters want to sleep with you.
From the looks of it, all this game does is provide you with basic writing prompts and a social media environment for publishing your crap, which is a far cry from the escapist fantasies offered by Guitar Hero! It's like NaNoWriMo, only dumber and not free.

@Binro, guitar is pretty easy instreument to play imo, you can pick up the basics in like a few weeks
I think a more apt comparison is a game like Papa's Burgeria. Nobody really wants to work at a burger joint, and yet that's one of the most popular games on the app store. And nobody really wants to write their own material. Or, they do, but most of us get stuck on the first page, "There once was... etc." Having a world like this to populate with words sort of works as a cool springboard: that's how Philip Roth wrote his first 10 or so novels. He started with random sentences written on cocktail napkins at his local deli. The ideas sort of flowed in different directions from there, but at the time he wasn't even considering making a career out of writing, and certainly wouldn't write the Great American Novel, but he did, and he did!

Yes, but how long does it take to get good at it?

THESE SCULPTURES SIGNIFY THEIR HUBRIS.
This looks like it a neat idea, at the very least a fun way to kill one or two afternoons. But my god, is it really as pretentious as this trailer makes it sound?
THESE SCULPTURES SIGNIFY their desire to watch pornography and play video games in preference to physical reality.
THESE SCULPTURES SIGNIFY nothing in particular. A team of reasonably well-paid graphic designers mocked these up over a single weekend, rough drafts for what would later become a series of ubiquitous roadside advertising-sculptures. The "T" stands for "Tlrt'lr∮x", a popular brand of cleaning foam, used by Byronic house-marfs to scrub vegetable residue from the bottom of their ovens.
THESE SCULPTURES SIGNIFY boners because it looks like a Viagra pill.

THESE SCULPTURES SIGNIFY that the inhabitants aren't actually gone. The surface is uninhabitable and they went below. The horizontal line represents the surface of the planet and the vertical line represents a tunnel downward.
THESE SCULPTURES SIGNIFY THAT JET FUEL CAN'T MELT STEEL BEAMS. RON PAUL 4026

So, this game would help me to write stories about alien civilizations pooping themselves to death? And you're telling me that other people would read these stories?
Here Lies the Alien Duke of Buttass who choked on Robot Dick because YOLO.
can't wait to see what people come up with!

THESE SCULPTURES SIGNIFY penises. I can totally make out a cock and balls. I mean, it doesn't look like that on the screen but that's because it's two-dimensional, if you could see the depth of the sculptuer, you'd totally see a penis.
IN THE LIBRARY, I SAT AND READ photobooks to see pictures of boobs. They're artistic figure photography books which are totally not porn, you guys.
"see the depth of the sculpture", not "sculptuer". I really wish this place would let you edit comments for typos.

The trolling that will be done with final "stories" is going to be glorious.
