No unnecessary exposition, the right amount of humor, and constant constant action.

And as a bonus Tom Hardy channels a young Mel Gibsons goofy acting.

i am a huge fan of the post-apocalyptic, desert wasteland kind of setting. An example would be dark sun, dune, and then this, which I got to watching after first getting into those two first things.

I am going to watch the shit out of this movie tonight, I hope.

I was going to avoid it because I thought it would just be a re-hash of the original with bigger explosions, CGI and digital color "correction."

I've since reconsidered. I'll have to go see it now.

I'm not sure my brain can handle the idea that a Mad Max sequel/reboot/whatever in 2015 could be anything but terrible.

The action was so good and so intense and there was so much of it. And it was weird and funny and crazy as fuck. The ending could not have been more Mad Max.

And its use of CGI is really sparse, I've read it's 80% (Miller claims 90%) practical effects.

You'd probably also find it hilarious/depressing to know how many of them see Vladimir Putin as a hero because he gets things done and doesn't let anyone tell him what he can and can't do.

I theorize his shirtless manliness also plays to many conservative men's buried homosexual/bisexual desires.
