I don't really follow the GTA series that much, but I know they sort of do the "DC Comics" thing when it comes to cities. So Gotham's like Chicago, Metropolis is like New York, in the same way Los Santos is Los Angeles and Liberty City is New York. So what's San Andreas? Both Los Santos and San Andreas seem to be based off of Los Angeles

StanleyPain - 2015-05-20 San Andreas is an entire state in the GTA universe. Los Santos is one city (Los Angeles), San Fierro (San Francisco) and Las Venturas (Las Vegas) are the others.
The way that GTA5 weirdly makes the entirety of Los Santos and the surrounding area an island probably invalidates that universe now, but yeah..San Andreas is supposed to be a state.
