I didn't realize this was such a horrible disaster and that the petroleum industrial complex lied about all of it until I saw this snazzy artfart video about it.
One of the most interesting stories of the last few years, but I'm not crazy about this video.
Yes, my dear. 5 years is indeed a very short time in Science. Do you perhaps "fucking love Science"?
Wait, the scientists she talked to can't answer the question "why do we keep drilling for oil"?
Oh God. Chalk me up as another vote for "interesting subject, dumb video". Pillager, any chance you could find a different video, covering the same subject, in more detail, without the breathlessly stupid narrator?
Or maybe more of the narrator, I don't know, after all this is Portal of Evil.
I've been looking and so far all of the narrators are far stupider. This seems to be a hot topic for Alex Jones types.
There's an hour long one calling it the "worst environmental disaster in history," which is horseshit because the worst environmental disaster in history was undoubtedly the development of agriculture.
The drummer in my band at the time was a GIS contractor for the company doing the independent cost assessment of the damage during the investigation of Deepwater Horizon, so I used to have some general idea of where the oil went, but I don't remember now.
I watched the first minute or so of this, it was kind of annoying but not terrible.
It gets progressively worse. By the end, I was starting to suspect it was a parody.
Completely failure at making an anti-oil propaganda video. I'm filling my tank at BP just for that.
really, really tired of videos like this. just go back to talking heads and related footage, because this drawing out a scene/writing out the words you are speaking, is really annoying.
