Yeah.. 1:05 happened to a co-worker of mine at a movie theatre. Unpopped kernel shot up and went right underneath her glasses and popped. :(
It's cheap: 5� a pop.
I prefer mine sous vide, just wrap it in an electric blanket for 8 hours.

That's going to ruin the taste! I mean who's going to eat a nickel ball that tastes like burnt popcorn?
