Starfox 64's single player was fun. Have no idea what you mean by "turning it into a Mario 64"--it's basically the same as the SNES game with a few levels allowing 360 degree flying.

Yeah Starfox Adventures was what I was referring to, just couldn't remember the name. To be fair I didn't actually play it, but my roommate at the time rented it and it looked pretty generic at best.

And yeah SF 64 was kinda fun but it wasn't anything that great if I recall, just sort of another forgettable shooter with pretty (but again forgettable) graphics and characters, at least compared to Zelda, Mario, Sonic, Crash Bandicoot..

not to mention Colony Wars; I guess I should take back "was horrible" though, as all of wikipedia would disagree with me on that one.

SF Adventures was originally supposed to be a totally stand alone, original game by Rare called "Dinosaur Planet" and then Nintendo basically made them shoehorn in a terrible Star Fox plot/characters because they were worried a new IP wouldn't sell or something.
