I remember hearing about something like this affecting the stars in Puget Sound back around 2010?
First 30 seconds sets it up. Next 3 minutes is just a basic recap of starfish and lizards breaking off their limbs in response to predators. Final 60 seconds literally just says, "Oh yeah, back to the zombie star fish. It's a virus. We don't know anything else. Bye!"

Welcome to BBC2

Poor little critters. :(

I wish starfish got the size of football stadiums.
Sanest Man Alive
You liked that episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog too, I see.

As Nominal has already pointed out, this documentary is pretty trashy and dumb. Also, I'm not so sure "spitting out your own stomach to digest prey" qualifies as a "super-power". I would think that being able to eat food whole, then digest it safely within the confines of your own body, is the real super-power.
Sounds like a good enough super power for a Batman villain.

Matter-Eater Lad says hi.

C'mon starfish. You're at least 5 years too late to the zombie craze. Hire a new PR firm.
I see you as a mutant or maybe an Inhuman. At worse, an alien cameo. Show me your talents over this on this couch & I might some phone calls to Kevin Feige
