Well, that's kind of what Corman's good at. I've never seen the original Little Shop of Horrors but I assume it was as silly as this for its time. But yeah, it's overdone and these feel more like they were written by Family Guy writers. Maybe ok in 20 minute chunks but a whole movie.. I'm starting to understand why they didn't introduce Godzilla for almost an hour in the reboot. It didn't work, but at least they tried..

Also he gave an entire generation of ridiculously talented American filmmakers their start.

You can't make a good cheesy movie on purpose. It just has to happen accidentally when you're trying to make a serious movie.
