Are all those particles cosmic rays? I was under the (possibly mistaken) belief that most of them were just background radiation from all sources, and the cosmic rays are differentiated as being the especially high-energy ones.
I also kind of want to do this because I want to watch my strontium calibration disc radiate outwards. Also I have a bunch of other things I could use dry ice for but not enough to justify buying a big block of it normally.
Stars for everything but especially the giant Ledenfrost fart (Ledenfart?) at 2:10.
My girlfriend, a chemist, gave this woman passing marks for her science but flunked her for presentation, claiming she was "the most annoying thing ever". She also mumbled an audible "oh please" at eyewear for isopropyl alcohol into a relatively contained space with a directional nozzle.
She explains that they are using the alcohol below the eye line and that since the eyewear does not make a seal and is basically just glorified glasses, it's next to useless.
