Old_Zircon - 2015-07-07 I never really liked the direction Mike took things after the split with Joel. He's very good at it, but to me it always feels like there's too much concern for keeping the jokes accessible and self-contained and fitting in as many as possible. I don't think I've ever learned anything from his branch of the MST3k family tree, whereas Joel's branch, especially in the original format, was never afraid of jokes and references that most people wouldn't get, which meant you could watch an episode of MST3k, especially in seasons 2-4, and be set on a path toward learning about all sorts of things. After he left, you would get a lot of well crafted, self contained jokes about the movie itself and that was the extent of it. Which is fine, it's just not my preference.
Point is, I don't really have any interest in watching this myself. I'm sure all 6 of you were on the edge of your seats over that one.
