I don't doubt that the biker did something stupid, but damned if it wasn't the funniest thing to see this wall-eyed creep get pinned to the curb.

yogarfield - 2015-07-15 the biker showed so much restraint. i would have fucking wailed on baldy until he was asleep.
is it just me or is the old man pinning?

Since it's Arizona, that was probably a Tea Party stooge that was driven over the edge by gay marriage.

I love how this dude gets treated like a misbehaving cat.

memedumpster - 2015-07-14
Arizona has some of the unfriendliest people I have ever seen. Like if the Internet were a real place.

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-07-14 Like Oregon, it's a terrifying mix of old skool hippies and redneck cowboys. Everyone is armed, and random violence like what we see here is common. That said, both states share fantastic landscape and some unique people. I recommend visiting both and not to bother with the cities as such.

infinite zest - 2015-07-14 Yeah there were a couple of guys exercising their 2nd Amendment rights days after the mall shooting here, by just sitting and walking in a park by the playground. And this person I know likes Tuscon and if we go together I've got a place to stay. Plus by October I plan on leaving Oregon; it's not just the weather, but sunny and warm sounds pretty good in the middle of the winter. My generalization is based mostly around stories I've heard so I should probably check it out.. I saw some graffitti the other day about Oogles that almost made me vomit it was so horrible. So maybe it's just like Buckaroo Banzai for adults: no matter where you go, there are assholes.

memedumpster - 2015-07-14 Arizona is beautiful, and a great place to camp if you want to, er... imbclay a ountainmay. Just keep in mind that the scorpions, killer bees, and mountain lions are the social, cuddly animals, and the humans are not. New Mexico is great for stargazing, since it doesn't have Phoenix blotting out the night sky in a three hundred mile radius around it. New Mexicans are also a ton more friendly, you can probably cuddle them.
|
infinite zest - 2015-07-14 Are you not supposed to go on the mountains there? One of the things I like about Oregon is that the beaches are free, as they should be, and so are the mountains as long as you're not hiking right through a ski resort or totally off any sort of trail, which makes sense no matter how good of a climber you might think you are. But yeah, we've got Pikas! We also have bears. If I had to choose between a scorpion's venom and a bear I'd probably choose the scorpion because if I was with people who knew what they were doing I could probably be just fine, but you can't really suck out a bear mauling. But the Pikas are cute! Every time I see one I want to take them home but then how would they collect the flowers oh my god cutegasm!
One of my really good friends lives in Albuquerque so I could probably stay with her for a while too; I know I've just been watching too much Breaking Bad but there's worse drug-related crimes up here than anything on that fictional show.. a different "friend" (big quotation marks around that one, he just lived in the same building as me and we both liked graphic novels and stuff) came home with a sliced up nose and a laceration that extended up to his right eye. Very low level crack and meth dealer, but still like college kid type hipster stuff. I just want to live the life of a Pika. Eee

memedumpster - 2015-07-14 No, poeTV hates mountain touchers. I think it had something to do with Jesus climbing a mountain once or something.
|
memedumpster - 2015-07-14 I don't know about the state of drugs in New Mexico. Compared the state I live in, I'd have to visit Russia, Mexico, or the Jen Hadar to find worse drug addicts. We've got the whole nude flokka crazy person thing going out here now. Every week a new trainwreck. Meth is your granpa's drug out here.
|
yogarfield - 2015-07-15 that was the friendliest takedown of all time. somebody brought a towel and water.
|
TeenerTot - 2015-07-15 My grandma lived in Green Valley, just outside Tucson. Back in the day, it was a wee retirement community in the middle of nowhere. We could literally walk out her front door, cross the street and trek across a desert to the Titan Missile Museum. It's all built up now of course. Those were nice memories tho.
Aw. Now I'm all sad.
|
infinite zest - 2015-07-15 Yeah that really was a friendly takedown. I can't get into detail but this happened to me on my first day of work but it took a lot longer to calm the person down in a park full of kids on a sunday afternoon.
|
infinite zest - 2015-07-15 All my stories from Arizona are vicarious, the least shocking of which was my friend who was moving and left among other things his vinyl collection in the back seat of his car. Some thousands of dollars worth of records all melted into mush. But I can't know until I check it out myself.

my dads family is from Yuma. I spent a lot of time there as a kid. The only reason it exists is because there is a marine base there. It is truly an awful place.

The Mothership - 2015-07-14
Biker is pretty chill. I'd a cut him.
|
robots - 2015-07-15
His face when the biker tells him everything was caught on camera. Five stars.

|
chumbucket - 2015-07-15 It's as if he suddenly woke up from his power dream.
|
bopeton - 2015-07-15
Interestingly, I think most people here, in the biker's position would have busted this guy's mouth.
My theory is the presence of the camera kept everyone just a little more chill.
That's what fascinates me most about this video.

SolRo - 2015-07-15 Well, legally, he could have punched him back until the old idiot stopped attacking...self-defense and all that.

5 for being so stupid as to start a fist fight with someone already wearing a helmet and protective equipment.
I believe if the rider kept his right glove on, it's basically the hard plastic equivalent of brass knuckles.
