Ah, I miss the old loose animation style.

This is great. Reminds me of the Garfield Animations that were on here a while ago. Wish there was more.
Homer is on a diet.
He ate a Guatemalan Insanity Pepper.
You cannot eat a Guatemalan Insanity Pepper.
A Guatemalan Insanity Pepper is not food.

Speaking of The Simpsons, I caught a little blurb about Homer and Marge's separation and was thinking "that'd be a cool way to finally put down the old mare; a cool story arc that's kind of bittersweet and maybe makes us all remember what made us fall in love with it in the first place.. metaphor for divorce, growing distant, etc. etc."
Nope! It'll just be one episode that's tied together at the end. AND, Harry Shearer signed back on, slowly killing my hope for a heartfelt goodbye to various beloved characters throughout a final season, and finally ending with cognitivedissonance's idea where it somehow winds up back at the race track on Christmas Eve..
Nope! The Simpsons, like a drawn out marriage, feels like taking "Til Death Do Us Part" a little too literally.
This is good but come on folks, it cost like to dump stuff to actual VHS and back (maybe more like if you don't have a cheap capture device yet) and that Magic Bullet or whatever VHS filter looks so fake.
Eh.. if I want to see old warped Simpsons VHS tapes I'll go to my parents' basement. This video is special for so many reasons that I forget all about the effects even they're right in front of me.
So this is one of the new season's openings, eh?
I have a dub of Beyond the Mind's Eye that is so debased it's considered schedule ii
