I think that was real studio laughter though, not canned.

It's that in between stuff, I think, where it's a real audience laughing at prerecorded footage. I haven't watched a complete episode of Benny Hill since high school but I remember it being a mix of live-with-audience vaudeville type skits, live-with-audience bikini dancers and these little films.
