I'm down with this: This weekend was homemade baked beans with bacon, and next up it's French Canadian Pea Soup using a picnic ham as meat and soup base for it.
There are pubs in Spain (I'm thinking of one in Sevilla) where the old carvers put their old used up jamon carving knives up on the wall once they have been used up. Their knives have cut through so much jamon that they wear down to just nubs and they need new knives.
