I remember watching this episode with a neighbor kid, and both of us are now gay.
The irony, I think, is that Reaganite parents were so terrified of their boys being feminine that they subjected them to endless "masculine" cartoons like He-Man, G.I. Joe and so forth, full of muscley men in tight pants, that we grew to appreciate that more than women. This may, in fact, be why there's more homosexuals in my generation than the current one, which seems to have more transgendered and niche alternative sexualities than mine. Disney Afternoon killed the He-Man Frot Festival.

infinite zest - 2015-11-10 I'm doing this from memory (I promise) but Orkos a sort of troll and his planet got destroyed or something so he's here on Thundara or whatever now; the reason he never takes off his hat is because exposing your face if you're like Orko is basically a sin, and only to be done behind closed doors. So Orko would take off his hat and show his face to his girlfriend here but that implies they're fucking so they keep it on because they're just friends.

I don't see what's so gay about this. Orko was hitting on a female whatever-they-are, Teela was in erotic peril, and the thing ends with a positive affirmation of traditional marriage. Yeah, the song was a little queer, but on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being totally-not-gay and 5 being Batman, this is a 3 *at worst*.
