Re: her frustration, I don't think you follow Christine as closely as some of the rest of us, right IZ? In any normal circumstances, her frustration would be understandable - however, the shit going on here is following a pattern that's obvious to longtime watchers of Chris, and -should- be obvious to her, too... except, well, autism. She doesn't understand people's motivations, and doesn't learn to interpret social behaviors as a normal person would.

Basically, Francine is a combination of two or even three different classic troll sagas:

** the Liquid Chris saga, in which a troll posed as "the real Christian Weston Chandler" and elicited reaction videos much like this one.

Interesting. You're right, I'm a casual CWC follower at best, but I was thinking more about the monetary gain aspect than anything else. Like, I could go on some other website and pretend I was you (theoretically of course) and you might think that was shitty, but if I began selling copies of your artwork saying I was you, that's a whole different level of shittiness that goes way beyond trolling and into theft of intellectual property, which is doubly hard for her to fight because I doubt if the characters in the Sonichu universe are protected the way DA artwork might be.

Oh yeah, it's definitely a shitty thing to do, and I can understand why Christine would get upset! Unfortunately, Christine's been through his before. This person is (probably) not trying to profit off her; rather, he's trying to trick Chris and trap her into doing stupid stuff for his amusement. Chris, of all people, should know this - and yet she doesn't. All these years, and she still hasn't learned a thing.

You can say what you want about Christine and her naivety, but she's got a lot of heart and she's really committed to her calling. Most internet anti-celebrities wise up and vanish after a short time in the spotlight - JustinRPG, Jessi Slaughter, Alix Henriol, the Rats of NIMH lady - but not Chris. Chris is a trooper. You gotta admire that.

This video is as good as his hey day in 2009 when that imposter Chris-Chan was making videos -- that was the best troll, and really quite harmless compared to the others.

This also reminds me of CWC's calling out sagas. Somebody must give him the info on the trolls and Christine then swaggers about like she has the ultimate weapon in her purse. It was going well he got Surf Shack Tito to give into his demands and he revealed Alec Benson Leary, but then Bob Died and with him that saga. I love this video.

Yeah, Swagger Chris is one of my favorite Chris'es, right up there with Magnanimous Chris. What makes the Troll Outing series of videos so great is that when the reveals come, it's always some super-famous internet image that everyone would recognize straight away - everyone except Chris.

Apparently the latest joke is that "Francine" is actually ADF, the gay socialist fatso whom the ChrisChan trolls hate almost as much our hero. I'm not sure whether *Chris* thinks this, or whether it's just a rumor the trolls started to piss off ADF, but this is shaping up to be a pretty interesting holiday season.

EvilHomer, it could be argued that what really caused Chris to stop drawing the comic was the fact that they were forced to kill off the character Simonla (The ransom? Their own personal wiki, which was given by the trolls). For the first time, their fantasy had been directly invaded and tampered with. No wonder they stopped drawing the comic - it could no longer serve its purpose as an escape.

Yeah, that's a good point, BiggerJ! I've heard people say that before, and I think you may be right. Sonichu was intensely personal and autobiographical for Chris (this is one of the reasons why I honestly believe that Sonichu, for all it's technical flaws, should be considered high art; Chris pours so much of himself into his work, and gives we the readers that rare opportunity to see the world through entirely different eyes), so intruding on his sanctuary must have been devastating for him.

No matter what crazy bullshit Chris got himself into in the real world, he was always able to go back to CWCville, a place where he could be genuinely happy. I think that was the main reason why he was so tough and resilient over the years, so it'd make sense why the forced murder of Simonla could send him into exile.

I also don't think it's an accident that he resurrected Simonla in Sonichu 11. It's his way of saying, CWCville is back, the Mayor is still in control.
