If only they'd done "Track of the Moon Beast" sooner they'd know the risks of rushing the Halloween season.

So here's a question that some of you might know the answer to: did they regularly build new Crows and Servos? I remember Toms head falling off a lot, and Crow getting blown up and dismembered a few times, but Mike is showing a lot of restraint here, especially with the aluminum bat.

Yes.

In that case I would've gone full-on Casino here. It would've been more effective. But Mike's sound makes up for it.

If I had to guess at the "restraint" part it's because
1) Mike doesn't seem the type of actor to use "method" as an excuse to be an unhinged asshole (not that all method actors do, but goddamn is it irritating for everyone else when it happens) and
2) it's a pretty small set there, at least what's on camera, so
3) he might be trying to avoid whacking a boom or something similar, but more relevantly,
4) they still need Crow to talk at the end there, and that might be hard to do if the head's completely shattered.

So I'd say it's perfectly effective.

5 for the image of Crow in a vice.

Oh god, yes. They had at least 4 or 5 core models of each robot, replacement parts by the dozens (all of which they tried as hard as possible to source from the original toys and hardware the original bots were built from) and then other models in various states of destruction for skits where the bots are destroyed.

I have a Tom Servo that was built by some fan somewhere using the original parts that were used to build him in the first place. If you search around enough, you can either find kits for sale or lists of the specific parts you need to built the bots.
