is this supposed to mean something

Well, impersonating a lawyer is illegal, and if the person targeted by the fraud is targeted with the intent of depriving the receiver of monetary benefits, it's either a third or second degree criminal charge. In this case, the cease and desist order would deprive Mr. IHE of potential monetary gain, so Derek might be in a world of trouble if he continues to piss this guy off.

It means Daddy Derek is a bully! And bullies never have any friends!

As far as what he says about YMS "making cool cat a thing," though, I remember it on here and reddit a good year before YMS' reviews, the "is it fake" thing was discussed, and then it was forgotten for the most part. The "thing" YMS and the like did was just illuminate more on how unintentionally creepy and rapey everything in the video is, which, frankly we did too, but a discerning parent is probably going to look for a trailer on YT instead of some ancient message board on here or reddit, and probably see these right alongside the original. So it's kind of different than just watching a review and hearing about how it sucks.

So for the most part I'd actually be on Derek's side here had the situation been handled differently. Ironically Cool Cat's overall message is that the best way to avoid trouble with bullies is to just ignore it and it'll go away.
