I used to know someone whose uncle was a the keyboardist from some second tier 70s prog band who now makes his living doing soundtracks for high profile nature documentaries like this (for all I know he did this one). She said all he did all day was smoke weed and improvise synthesizer music while watching footage of marine life.

Yeah I know some people who do soundtracks for Yoga and Pilates DVDs and educational videos for infants, which have a similar sound (I'd imagine, I've never watched one nor do I intend to). They're all in bands but the soundtracks make a lot more $$$.
