If I'm not mistaken, the opening footage (just like the first 30-40 seconds) was used as the attract screen footage for that old laserdisc game Cube Quest (in addition to other stuff of course).

fedex - 2015-12-05 Almost all of this stuff is lifted directly from the the 1982-84 SIGGRAPH Electronic Theater reels, and re-edited together with new music.
its kind of a shame because alot of the older works stand better with their own sound and without any editing, especially Stanley and Stella, the fish/bird one @ 20:00
