yeah, they were considered shitty, even for the 80s, which was probably the automobile's worst decade, build quality and performance wise (a lot of dope designs though, better than most of the 90s jelly bean styling)
I dunno, my grandma had a Le Baron (the Chrysler version of the Reliant) for as long as I can remember until my parents sold it around 2003 after she passed away. That car outlasted my parents' 2 Volvos, a Volkswagon Vanogon, A Dodge Spirit and two Dodge Caravans over the course of 20 years.
Well, technically the Spirit might still be around somewhere in Rye New York but that's a different story. I was really sad when they sold the Le Baron actually, it was gold and was a convertible.

Also Dodge was the Aries, Plymouth was the Reliant, but they were all pretty much the same.
