YOUR COMEDY GOD IS ONE OF *THEM*, POETV. THE END IS HERE.

That guy - 2016-01-14

this is my ultimate poetv nightmare

infinite zest - 2016-01-15

Eh, the way he talks he knows as much about MLP as I do. I think it's a well-done series but I've watched a few and it's not really a cartoon universe I can't personally get into, just like I can't get into D&D, no offense to Bronies and Dungeon Masters everywhere. Like me he just says that it's a good show.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2016-07-26

What he's become is a Dad. Now that he lost his wife (and his little girl lost her mother), I think it's really sweet that he's going to voice a character for MLP. http://www.ew.com/article/2016/07/13/patton-oswalt-my-little-pony- friendship-is-magic

Bort - 2016-01-14

I feel Patton's pain: just from hanging out here I have picked up too much of this stuff through osmosis. When Patton's going on and on, and I'm following along and wondering why he didn't say "alicorn" ... the sickness, it's in me too.

The way the line breaks happened, I thought we had a tag for "derpy shot" and I was afraid to find out what that was.

infinite zest - 2016-01-15

It's funny, I was of the age growing up where I knew everything about Star Wars because that's all the older kids talked about and I'd never seen any of them until they got re-released in the 90s. But I also gleaned a lot of false information, like Yoda died by falling off a cliff and it was just winter on Mos Eisley in the second one, which isn't even a planet, etc. So when I went to see it for the first time when I was a teenager I felt like a teacher grading a test.

EvilHomer - 2016-01-15

He's summarizing the first episode, so he may not be up to alicorns yet.

EvilHomer - 2016-01-15

As for "Derpy shot", such a tag would probably refer to a closeup of a derp-eyed face.

Bort - 2016-01-15

I was worried a "derpy shot" happened when someone with Down's syndrome climaxed.

EvilHomer - 2016-01-15

Ah, yes. The internet is way ahead of you. A quick search reveals 35 pictures of *that* on Derpibooru.

Caminante Nocturno - 2016-01-14

-1 star for failing to mention Rarity.

Xenocide - 2016-01-15

He was saving the best for last.

EvilHomer - 2016-01-15

The last pony he mentioned was "Lightning Dash", so yes, Xenocide is correct.

Cena_mark - 2016-01-15

You mean the "best pony" is the unremarkable one who's name he can't even remember?

EvilHomer - 2016-01-15

He was thinking "Lightning Dash" because he remembered her Cutie Mark, which as you know, has a lightning bolt on it.

In other words, Patton Oswalt was clearly fixated on, and distracted by, her butt. It's understandable.

Cena_mark - 2016-01-15

All their asses look the same. What makes RD's more noticable?

EvilHomer - 2016-01-16

"All their asses look the same." Wow, racist much?

Cena_mark - 2016-01-16

I'm just refferring to how the character designs are pretty much just copied and pasted. Their body's are all the same and they're just separated by differences in color, hairstyle, eyes, and cutie marks. This is kinda lazy. Unlike Steven Universe, which is such a body positive show featuring all kinds of body types.

EvilHomer - 2016-01-16

"Body irresponsible" more like it. With rampant heart disease and childhood diabetes on the rise, should SU *really* be commended for taking the easy way out and making its characters fat?

And anyways, there are plenty of body shapes in MLP. You've got toned, athletic bodies like Rainbow Dash; toned, slim bodies like Fluttershy; buff, athletic bodies like Roid Rage; small, responsibly-shaped bodies like Diamond Tiara or Scootaloo; and yes, even one or two gross out-of-shape weirdos, like Snips or Teacher's Pet.

Cena_mark - 2016-01-16

The Mane 6 all have the same body types. Sure there are few different one's here and there, but most ponies have the same cut out. SU doesn't just have fatties. It has diverse body types. You have super skinny like Pearl, thick like Garnet, slim like Lapis, muscular like Jasper, etc. No one's saying people shouldn't be healthy, but fat shaming has no place in our society.

Caminante Nocturno - 2016-01-16

Fat shaming has many places in our society, primarily in humor and health.

I wrote those songs before I discovered SU.

Cena_mark - 2016-01-16

I deserve the fierce wrath of the SU SJWs. Fortunately I can handle it. I endured the Armed Forces 2nd toughest basic training program.

kingarthur - 2016-01-15

I didn't get like this about anything until moving to Mississippi made me an isolated loner for a few years. Then I had friends who were into D&D and I could not stand that shit for the life of me, though I did try and be nice.

Then British punk and two-tone ska and trip hop and dance music kind of happened to me all at once along with girls and then it was New Order this and Tricky that and Pixies here and Siouxsie there and Afrika Baambaata.

And no one knew what the fuck I was talking about because Mississippi.

kingarthur - 2016-01-15

I spent a lot of time sneaking out and hitching rides with older friends back to New Orleans for a night, getting grounded for a month or two, and then repeating the process.

Two Jar Slave - 2016-01-15

Patton Oswalt once again astonishes American with his ability to remember things!!

+1 star because it was a pretty funny joke.

Two Jar Slave - 2016-01-15

America*

Xenocide - 2016-01-16

Oh, sure, like you've ever remembered something.
