The only funny part is that Michael Moore Jr. was an NYU film major. It reminds me of a few months ago when a kid who was dressed in what amounted to a literal Woody Allen costume came in where I work and started talking about how Woody Allen is his idol and asking about Woody Allen (Woody shot some stuff there a year or two ago). Having people you look up to in your field is fine, but don't fucking dress like them.

I watched the whole thing waiting for said "destruction" too and all I got was people reading - READING - some C grade playground insults with a bit of casual racism thrown in.

Also missing the misogyny. All either of them did was insult the other's bodies and vices (his being food, hers being alcohol).

The only thing that was explicitly misogynist was the video title.

the CONCEPT and fact that this went viral is rooted in msogyny, all the reddit neckbeard mofos watching what is just a straight Roast Battle (even kinda tame), you can see the professionalism between the performers at the end, they're really just battling it out for a cash prize (NYC expensive)

I have no idea who any of the people in this are or that it went viral, I can totally see THAT being related to misogyny (especially since you mention Reddit) but since I don't know or care to know anything about these people I'm judging it solely on the actual content.

Yeah, this is most comedy clubs. Nothing special but there's a professionalism to it. This isn't misogyny or the dark side of comedy.

Yeah, the only time I've seen someone reading from a script has been in the corner of a bar with no stage.

And it's hard to say for sure because it was 7 years ago and I didn't know who he was back then, but I THINK it was Sam Hyde right before he moved to NYC.
