Owner got me out of the closet and is going to wear me again! The blue, pleated jersey sheath dress thought to itself while on a hanger hooked over the open closet door watching the attractive women in the bathroom get ready for her work day.

I was hanging in the dark closet for soooo long! I wish owner would wear me more often! The dress pouted to itself.

I cant wait for her to slip me on, it makes me feel.... Uh... Feel... It makes me.... The dress hesitated in its worship of the woman who was about to slip him on.

Damn it!! It started happening again! I lost my sense of self again... Its getting harder and harder to remember I was a man named Karl and husband to first owner.... Grrr! Tara! Husband to Tara! The dress that once again remembered who he used to be thought.

My wife, the witch who likes to turn me into different articles of clothing. My wife who turned me into a look alike of one of the other dresses for sale while in the dressing room of the store we were in and bought me. My wife who after walking out of the store while wearing me got ambushed by one of her rivals and turned into a mannequin and placed in one of the display windows of the store we just left. My wife who apparently was not been able to reverse her transformation before I was removed from her during a display change and re-tagged and put on the rack for sale. My wife who for all I know is still displaying clothes in the store window while I was purchased by my new owner.... Gah! Purchased by this woman... Cathy is what her name is I believe... So even if Tara has been able to reverse her transformation I have no clue how long Ive been this way or if Tara has a way of finding me!! Karl thought to himself in anger, frustrated about the situation he is in.

Then the identity loss and dimming of my senses started happening. I keep forgetting who I am and I cant see or hear as well as I used to be able to. My vision is always fuzzy now and everything sounds like Im underwater. I can barely understand what people around me are saying. The dress that was Karl thought despondently with a long sigh and then its thoughts went silent for a while.

Oh! It looks like owner is almost done getting ready and will be putting me on soon! I cant wait!! The blue sheath dress thought with joy.

Not all Republicans are racist but all racists are Republicans.

That guy - 2016-03-01

oh my god NO

memedumpster - 2016-03-01

Not. Even. Remotely.

Not by the width of the universe in this and all parallel realms.

Not by a dick year, a coon's age, or a planck eternity.

Old_Zircon - 2016-03-02

Racism hardly falls along party lines.

jangbones - 2016-03-01

the most openly racist candidate is going to win the nomination for your party, Paul

THE MARKET HAS SPOKEN

(also it is interesting to me that the GOP establishment's attempts to injure Drumpf have been this pathetic so far)

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2016-03-01

I'm out of the loop. I had to Google what the fuck happened this week. It's really kind of mind blowing how little sticks to Trump. His supporters could watch him shoot a man in the street and still vote for him!

memedumpster - 2016-03-01

What do you mean could?

You don't remember when Donald Drumpf shot that woman on the steps of that church in 1991?

memedumpster - 2016-03-01

If "human" was the only acknowledged race, Republican policy would still make them racist.

That guy - 2016-03-01

This seems like a good stir-the-pot place to mention that I will never, ever vote for Clinton, even if Trump is the other candidate.

But, yeah..... the guy's dangerous as fuck.

memedumpster - 2016-03-01

Dude, you know there's only one gigantic lump of congealed fat in that pot to stir, lol

The rest of us are gravy and mushrooms.

I'm considering Trump myself. I'm not convinced he's to the right of Hillary, his rhetoric is too off message except when it misses the point entirely. I don't think he even knows what the GOP is, or the DNC. He just wants to love us for loving him back. He's like when you're stuck watching a t-ball game and you see the kid who also is not into it just twirling about in the outfield also giving no fucks about t-ball. That's the immediately likeable one.

memedumpster - 2016-03-01

Or rather, he's the only candidate I can comfortably attribute his "mistakes" to incompetence instead of malice. He's an asshole, but he's a hot tempered blow off and call you names kind, not the nod politely, smile, and spend thirty years committing slow genocide against black people kind.

EvilHomer - 2016-03-01

As of last week, the transportation office at the VA went broke, and we can no longer get free bus passes. Patients and employees are quite upset about this. However, Trump has apparently promised to give transportation some funding and get us our bus passes back! So now most of the vets in New Haven county have sworn to vote for Trump.

I have had very pleasant conversation about this with almost a dozen people, including a nurse, a CRP specialist, and a (retired Navy) security guard over at the Yale Art Gallery. The consensus is: we will back our paymaster, and if that is Caeser, then that is Caesar.

Anaxagoras - 2016-03-02

Memedumpster:

At several of his rallies, he has displayed a *serious* authoritarian streak. Activists are summarily ejected, and I vaguely remember reading reports that some of them were beaten in the process. (I'm too lazy to go find a citation, so I'm not 100% sure about that last detail.) I also read a report that apparently large groups of blacks are now also summarily ejected before they've done anything, on the assumption that they'll eventually become disruptive.

And of course, there are his out-and-out anti-Muslim statements. Barring all of them from entering, advocating bombing the houses of the *families* of ISIS members, (which is a war crime) etc.

All of the above are clear examples of malice, not incompetence.

Having said all that, I seriously don't get why so many people are losing their shit at the prospect of President Trump. Yeah, the guy is a xenophobic ignorant douchebag, but he strikes me as *less* of a douchebag than all of the other GOP candidates. He's slightly more toxic about race & foreigners, and quite a bit better on other topics.

I'd much rather see a President Trump than a President Cruz or President Rubio.

That guy - 2016-03-02

because he's a screwball capable of anything

normal GOP candidates can be counted on to do standard GOP shit

Trump's insane, e.g. everything he's said and done for 20 years.

memedumpster - 2016-03-02

Anax, these things are true. Also, one of his secret servicemen recently assaulted a Times photographer. Even the government drunksquad gets all fascist and murdery at his rallies. He's great at pandering to ape instinct.

All of those are examples of pandering. I can't take his blatant say whatever it takes attitude at face value while Hillary gets free passes left and right for also having a history of saying whatever terrible thing it takes and then saying the opposite later. How is it politics when she does it and malice when he does it? I say it's the opposite by simple virtue that Hillary is way smarter than Trump, so her capacity for intent behind her evil is far greater. It's easy to see Donald just doesn't get a lot about reality, while Hillary has active contempt for it.

Oh so my half ass defense of what I said goes, said with all the conviction of a Trump talking point.

Cena_mark - 2016-03-01

The last Republican president didn't care about black people.
This entire speech was a load of shit. Does he actually believe that the GOP isn't feuled by bigotry?

memedumpster - 2016-03-01

I saw Marco Rubio get loud applause for saying that the police target blacks and hispanics unfairly and it is an issue that needs to be addressed. That was the first time one of their candidates made me worry a bit about electability, since that put him ten miles left of most Democrats and yet his audience responded with enthusiasm.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2016-03-01

"THIS IS THE PARTY OF LINCOLN!"

Any modern republican who says this is either clueless of their own party's history, or is flat out full of shit dishonest.

It is silly to claim that Republicans, as a party, are racist, but to deny the prevalence of racist people who identify with and support their party is also silly. To hear a republican stand up and say "You can't be a republican if you're racist" is hilarious.

I remember when Ron Paul was running and it came out that he accepted a whole bunch of campaign money from white supremacists and when asked about it he just shrugged his shoulders. I suppose the reason the mainstream media and his running opponents never brought it up and made a big issue of it is because no one saw him as a threat or thought there was a chance in hell he'd be elected.

betabox - 2016-03-01

Dishonest Republicans who ignore history? Why I never!

cognitivedissonance - 2016-03-01

That Paul "I sleep on a stack of Atlas Shruggeds" Ryan has to be the one to try to declare safe dog whistle euphemisms is pretty astounding.

That guy - 2016-03-03

This whole "half of the GOP is against Trump" thing is fascinating, and it makes me wish it was happening on a show I liked instead of In Real Life In My Fucking Country.

Two Jar Slave - 2016-03-01

Just what American ideals are these jokers always trying to restore?

Hooker - 2016-03-02

They're willing to sell out their most cherished, foundational beliefs to stop Trump, huh?

13.5 - 2016-03-02

I'm hoping that the election takes a turn when Trump has to go up against a candidate that is not locked in to a coded appeal to white supremacy as an election strategy

CNN had a panel show blow up last night as a Trump crony just got pounded on Trump being slow to denounce the KKK that emphasized less "oh right KKK, no American will admit to liking them" and more "it stands for the murder of Americans to enforce white supremacy"
