"The 5,000 Year Leap is frequently cited by right-leaning political commentator Glenn Beck as being the most influential in the development of Beck's political views. Beck wrote a foreword for the 2009 edition of Skousen's book, which became No. 1 bestseller on the Amazon.com website."

He definitely has a Cluster B personality disorder. In severe cases, their career choices are usually limited to cult leader, serial killer, media personality, or politician. He chose the least harmful option.

I agree, I'm glad he went with cult leader.

A religious apologetic who chooses not to differentiate between causation and correlation!? What a nut.

This is christian thought in microcosm: It all becomes exactly this stupid the moment someone picks any kind of truth out of it.

Yeah, we sure did a bang up job of saving all those Jews in Europe. Depending on the country, it was up to 90% of the Jewish population killed, and the 10% was *not* mostly due to American intervention. I mean, yay America, but if we'd actually opened our doors to Jewish refugees when the killing was starting we might have at least a little more moral high ground.
