About the closest thing we have to Greece right now is Puerto Rico. It's not even a full state though and it's failure is not of such portent for the rest of the nation. I liked his comments about the nature of the forces driving the EU and how they're disconnected from the political process. It's a weird artifact of the nature of the union: The US didn't suffer so much from this because the original states themselves weren't around long enough to really differentiate. But the issue of federalism vs states rights is plenty hot here all the same.

The abyss that Europe is staring into has nothing to do with the a potential resurgence of nationalism and everything to do with the very real threat of Islamic terrorism.

yeah, Poland and Ukraine are really turning into fascist-nationalist states because of their fear of terrorists.

Yanis is an idealist at best, a counter-revolutionary at worst.
