There was a big, dumb copyright battle after the success of the Ghostbusters movie where Filmmation wanted to resurrect the old Ghost Busters show as a cartoon with related merchandise to cash in on the popularity of Ghostbusters. They put out their cartoon as Ghost Busters, and the official cartoon got snarkily named "The REAL Ghostbusters."
