People like Miller are the force behind the rise of Trump.

They don't understand you can't settle real-world problems with your fists like you can in a comic book.

This would have worked before 2005. I understand the cathartic nature of this. In WW2 we had comics and cartoons with Popeye, Duffy Duck, Superman, etc taking out Hitler and Hirohito. This comic would have still been looked back upon as crass, but the anger would seem more justified. Releasing this in 2010 just makes him seem like a bitter out of touch Rush Limbaugh fan.

It certainyly wouldn't work now, given that (thanks to Russia and the totally-not-a-War in Syria) America has gone back to its pre-2002 agenda of openly supporting the Islamic elements which the CIA has been training and funding since the Cold War.

All they have to do is replace Zack Snyder with Michael Bay and this will be a movie in six seconds. I'm shocked Bay hasn't already forced this somehow with his popularity, he loves profoundly jingoistic blatant racism in his heroes. If they made this into a movie, it would be the one time the Pentagon agitpooper would read a script and go "yeah, this looks fine to me, no changes. Give this to Michael with the usual Colombian gift basket."

Do you think maybe Snyder or Bay, and their DoD ,contacts will be able to turn this into some anti-Saudi hit piece? Given the current lover's quarrel we've got going on - first the Saud's getting out of oil, then the "28 Pages" leak, the Saudi media's 9/11 Truth bombs, and now Bloomberg squealing on the petrodollar - then surely it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility to resurrect this comic as a big Fuck You to our new enemies, the Saudi Arabians?

Michael Bay makes popular children's movies and would never touch something with an actual point of view, let alone a controversial one. He is the wrong boogie man for this scenario.

You're either ironically saying dropping American troops into Egypt to round up their citizens at gunpoint as a prelude to a Jordanian airstrike isn't controversial, or you've never seen a Transformers movie. It is 100% pure "our heroes are murderers and they will punish you for not approving of it" down to the written dialogue.

His movies speak for themselves.

EvilHomie, I predict Transformers : Last Knight will be about a lone autobot that is fighting multiculturalism after all the other robits turned commie and started being friends with Saudi Arabia. Then, when a Decepticon flies into the Chrysler building it will be found the House of Saud has been giving secret orders to them in the form of beating gay lovers and women to death in elevators in disguise, in trade for EnergOil, a new dinobot derivative of crude.

There will be tons of scenes where CGI robots fight each other in a backdrop of American soldiers arresting the Saudi people in the streets for their protection, and hauling them off before they completely destroy their city. Then, the Israelis will drive tanks through the streets to secure freedom.

It is the Bay By Numbers script for Transformers. Foreign evil country, foreign good country, robots fight while American soldiers do foreign invasions. I still have brain damage from binge watching Transformers movies, never do it. Something dies in you.

"I realized this was not a Batman story."

The way I heard it was DC told Frank he had to photoshop off the cowl ears and call Batman something else if he was going to shoot Muslims. Reading the book, I could see where these alterations were made, when I could tell what was happening in the terrible artwork, that is.

The problem is Al Qaeda's message of killing...anyone with that message should die.
