I'm not denying that it's utter lunacy though. I could barely breathe past my laughter when I reached the point that he started asserting that environmentalism and global warming are just communist hoaxes created in an attempt to destroy national sovereignty and free market capitalism.

i had a physics professor who was denounced by the john birch society in the 60s - he wasn't even very political, he just taught at UC berkley and looked kinda weird
