Probably because he isn't very funny. Tim & Eric took the whole 'totally random' thing about as far as it could go in the '00s. If they were the Bill Hicks of this comedy style, Eric Andre is Denis Leary.

Besides, everyone knows that Alex Jones was the funniest comedian at the RNC this year.

At his best Eric executes transgressive social satire with a slightly cruel edge. Here he is way out of his depth and just looks like he is trying too hard. No one can top Alex at this years RNC. He was on fire.
