If only we had universal healthcare in America, Sam Raimi wouldn't have to sneak his entire family into the Screen Actor's Guild.

Spiderman 3 is my favorite out of the series, not to be too contrarian. Peter Parker goes through a more interesting arc than the other two movies and all of the villains have more interesting roles than mcguffin laser/revenge.

I think my favorite thing about the Spiderman movies is that they're superhero movies I don't feel weird letting a child watch. They've got a solid ethical core, they're not excessively violent AND THEY'RE COMEDIC!

I guess it's kinda dumb that Sandman just happened to have killed Uncle Dad but whatever.

Glad to have someone else get this, Xeno. It's right there in the reactions of every girl he gives the guns to on the street. And the way he talks to his skinny neighbour just makes you sad.

This is not supposed to be "cool Peter." Peter was cool before he found Venom, and now he sucks. The movie is correctly mocking the "dark" 90s trend that gave us stuff like Venom in the first place. But people weren't over that shit yet when this movie came out, so they felt (again, correctly) like they were being made fun of.

Too many villains and plots, though. Gwen Stacey? Sandman? Rival photographer guy? Amnesia? Whatever. Taken as a coherent movie, number 2 is the best. But this was a great thing to do with Venom in this series.

This. Douchebag Peter Parker represents everything wrong with the DC EU right now.

Speaking just for myself, even though I get that they're trying to make Peter a douchebag, it's still a painful thing to watch. Make the point that he's being douchey and then move on. Don't keep going, "okay, now watch him point at girls like a douche. Now watch him dance like a douche. Wait, we still got some high-grade douchin' to do!"
