Way to latch onto those memes years after the fact, Viacom.

Some enterprising person should do a mega-edit of "Rugrats", taking out any and all references to the babies. The adults were far more interesting.

I thought the babies were interesting. The adults were interesting, too, but there was nothing wrong with the baby plots - at least, not until the later seasons, because after the movie things went downhill fast.

BiggerJ
That's one of the things that struck me about Rugrats - that even though they weren't the main focus, they bothered to make the adults were interesting at ALL.

Shit cartoon that a lot of people really wanted to like because they were hungry for good cartoons.

Yeah. It's weird. It was just a rip off of "Muppet Babies", but with an original IP and fairly interesting ancillary characters. It was never my favorite but it was brightly colored and wasn't immediately out the gate bombarding me with toys to buy (although they came later). I preferred it to "Doug", but that's like preferring anything to Archie Comics.

That would just be Garfield Without Garfield.

I genuinely liked the Rugrats, at least until they started making the kids randomly mispronounce words they had all pronounced correctly before. Then it got weird.

Redford
I swear I saw someone had done an episode in a Garfield minus Garfield sort of way.

Gmork
5 stars for how often they entrust the children to the horribly negligent grandfather.
