Some bats wander by mistake
Into the mess that guano makes
Do bats work the other way around, so that when they're young you can hear their batnoises, but when they get older they pitch up to ultrasound?
If I had to guess, this bat (flying fox?) is actually make a lot of ultrasonic sounds. What we can hear are just a handful of sounds within our range of detection.
These guys use sight to target prey, they can't echo-locate. They're called flying foxes, apparently. If this is a baby, the adults must be huge.
"prey" = flowers and fruit.
Bats apparently love to be handled, good to know.
