The funny thing is, Lloyd is being neither pedantic nor spurious in this video. One could argue that he has been pedantic about tanks in the past (*could* argue; his discussion about the definition of "tank" might have been construed as pedantic, but I would argue it was not, as definitions are extremely important, and it is critical for us to both understand, and mutually agree upon, the terms that we use) but there is neither "pedantry" nor "spuriousness" present in this particular lecture.

Yeah, this wasn't one of his (highly amusing) pedantic videos. He just talks at great lengths about tanks. Great, minute detail, obsessive length.

I love this guy.

his stupid little (but very long) reenactment of how French commanders constantly got out of their tank turrets to look around is dumb. so very dumb. and only done to promote his favored side of his own discussion, which is extra dumb.

it's like because he's too lazy to look up the pronunciation of cupola, its existence vanishes right after being mentioned.

1. Frenchmen did have to get out of their tanks to look around.

2. Lloyd's "side" of the discussion is that French tanks were better than German ones, so I don't see how poking fun at Frenchmen would "promote" that side.

3. If Lloyd can't be arsed to look up the pronunciation of "cupola", isn't that him being the exact *opposite* of pedantic? First you say you're mad because he's TOO pedantic, now you say you're mad because he's NOT pedantic - please make up your mind!

But which Tank Girl? It's hard to pick just one, but I am partial to Sturmtiger.
