I don't even fucking care any more.

They killed that part of my soul a long time ago.

Maggot Brain - 2016-10-23

Did they had to scrap the fun element from these movies?

Robin Kestrel - 2016-10-23

What if Wolverine became a heroin addict?

Gmork - 2016-10-23

Pretty sure that happened at some point.

Born in the RSR - 2016-10-23

I'm hoping for a Broadway dance-number in a dream sequence in this one.

Cube - 2016-10-23

Oh cool, I just watched Logan's Run.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2016-10-23

This.. might be good??? A smaller scale x-men with a crusty old wolverine + patrick stewart. I can buy that. They were two of the best things from the 1st x-men movies (+ ian mckellen)

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2016-10-23

Also apparently this is based on a comic series that was pretty good

StanleyPain - 2016-10-23

The storyline it's vaguely based on is pretty good. I'm confused about the continuity since First Class/Apocalypse is the "real" X-Men and Wolverine/Logan is the post-Future Past alternate timeline (right?) rooted in the original series, but basically it's about Wolverine finding out that Weapon X created an exact clone of him, except female and she's not yet adult. The storyline involves Caliban and Mister Sinister trying to obtain her genes and Wolverine having to help her etc. etc. I always thought Caliban was a really cool villain in the comics and I have heard Stephen Merchant is playing him in the movie, so that's kinda cool.
Presumably this is the "final" film of the original X-Men series ending that particular line of continuity and passing it on to the new series post-Apocalypse, which again is weird since I hear that Mister Sinister is also supposed to be in the next film of that series or something.
Meh....whatever.

STAB STAB STAB STAB Who gives a fuck!

Never doubt the ability of any X-franchise to get completely fucked continuity-wise whenever they time travel and establish alternate realities. It ALWAYS happens, going back to the first time they did it in the comics with Days of Future Past (which wasn't a bad story, it's just that they let writers other than Claremont play with that alternate future down the road and they broke it - see Cable).

That said, I'm down for this. It may not be great but it's probably guaranteed to make you cry once Professor X dies.

Also, since Jean Grey technically didn't die post the continuity reversal of Days of Future Past, does this mean she became Dark Phoenix anyway and killed the world?

Also, how many endings is a franchise alternate time line going to have? Wasn't Days of Future Past supposed to be the end?

Two Jar Slave - 2016-10-23

I like that with these movies they've taken the Mad Max route and thrown film continuity in the garbage where it belongs in favour of just telling new and different stories in this world. I'll take that over the Avenger's clonestamping any day, as long as the stories are good. And this trailer looks great. I will happily watch a lower-scale rusted out send-off to Jackman and Stewart, though I doubt either of them will stay gone if the movie does okay.

Born in the RSR - 2016-10-23

needs a "snikt" tag.

fedex - 2016-10-24

and a small bundle of wooden matches

memedumpster - 2016-10-23

If the cg budget is less than $ 500, I may be down for Wolverine First Blood.

♬ It's a long road, when you're on your own.
And it hurts when they tear your dreams apart.
And every new town, just seems to bring you down.
Trying to find peace of mind can break your heart. ♬

You're going to sell this trailer with Cash's version of Hurt? Balls.
