I ask because those in the "philosophical department" of the Alt-Right have been saying much the same thing. That is, they believe that part of the reason why the Alt-Right is on the rise and the Est-Left is on the decline, is because the Est-Left has become spiritually broken and rendered hopeless through years of abuse. The Alt-Right, or so the argument goes, DOES have faith in humanity, and IS willing to fight in order to build a better future. The Est-left, or again so the argument goes, is simply made up of broken, atomized degenerates, victimized people who need slavery and need the State because they are no longer capable of functioning without a collectivizst jailer. In other words, your lack of faith in humanity is symptomatic of your own "gamma" mentality, and a big part of the reason why this current culture war is a war you will lose.

I don't know how much stock I put in that argument, but I would be interested to hear your thoughts - both on your lack of faith in humanity, and on the consequences of it.

Another argument which the Alt-Right has been making is that, after years of conditioning in terrible schools and by a cynical mass culture, the so-called "regressives" have become so dumbed-down and emotionally fragile that they are now incapable - literally incapable - of formulating arguments, understanding positions other than their own, pr having a serious, mature discussion. You hear this claim time and time again from Alt-Righters: "the Alt-Right is the movement of reason and facts; the Reg-Left is the movement of emotion and vitriol." This idea is very important, and it underpins nearly their entire opposition to the "SJW" movement.

At first I just thought this was Alt-Righters playing on an age-old critique of feminism and the alleged "fickle nature" of the feminine mindset. But I dunno; all this time, I have been operating under the assumption that the people around me *are actually like me*; that you, Gmork, are both capable of and interested in having lively, rational debates.
