Jaws 3-D is equally bad but in a slightly more entertaining way
Jaws 3d is worse, at least they were trying to do something new with this one even though they utterly failed.

Lets just rename 'poetv' 'mdtv' (Movie discussion TV)
Better than Politics Discussion 3d.
WE'RE DRAINING THE SWAMP
TV not 3d. Politics Discussion 3d might be OK.
In years past, we used to have the POEN forums. Now we don't, so once and awhile he use the front page.
Yeah, but that stuff was the reason I hardly even visited Poe News and mostly just stuck to original PoE and here.
That was supposed to be "we", not "he." Sorry.
Same here, part of why I fully embraced best/worst movie weeks.
Anyway, now is not the time to be arguing with each other, now is the time to be resisting Trumpism however each one of us can. Because I doubt anyone here isn't ultimately on the same side (even EH is just being EH and I frankly don't take any of his Trump trolling that seriously).
And that is my last word on that. I've vented plenty here and elsewhere and I'm fully ready to go back to stupid videos and leave the political talk for more appropriate venues, like at work.
I wonder why Scheider turned it down. He was doing stuff like Night Game at the time.
great casting in Naked Lunch though
The original script had his character getting killed at the beginning and he refused to be basically a "cameo", so they just changed it to his son being killed.
This film's "WORST EVAR" reputation is kinda undeserved and exaggerated. Mind you, it is in no way a 'good' movie or even an 'OK' one, but it seemed like reviewers dogpiled on it just to be like "OH OH ME TOO ME TOO I WANT TO WRITE THE BAD WORDS TOO!" when, in fact, Jaws 4 is just *boring*. Like insanely boring. And boring is a very different thing from being "bad" in the kind of way reviewers at the time made it sound.
Still, I did really enjoy the tacked on "Oh, even though Mario Peebles obviously died in the previous scene, he's actually not dead!" ending.
The Jaws NES game based on it got a bad rap, too. It's not good, it's not really even OK, but it's very true to the source material.
I'll be honest, I think this is unironically the best Jaws sequel. 2 is the worst, 3 is the second worst (but most fun) and this is the best.
Fuck it, this is my favorite Jaws movie. It's the most fun. Also, I cheered as a lil kid when cool ass Mario Van Peebles lived.
I'll also use Michael Caine's quote on this movie:
"I have never seen the film, but by all accounts it was terrible. However I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific."
Awwww yeaaaahhhh, making movies for the right reasons.
I think a large part of the motivation for this movie was "what if we turn Ellen Brody into a shark-based Ellen Ripley?"
I mean, they're both named Ellen, right?
