"Matt Mitler" sounds like a name that a comedy sketch might use for Hitler in disguise.
"Here is Matt Mitler, and his valet Herbert Hoebbels. They've come all the way from Paris, France!"
While they may say they are in Virginia, this scene was actually shot in NH at America's Stonehenge:

God damn it were these movies great. I wonder if there are more undiscovered gems like this one.
Some of the most natural dialog I've ever seen in a movie.
Is there a third movie? Does Mysterious Planet count?
Never seen it.
Mysterious Planet is Brett Piper's first movie and has many of the same plot elements. Man lost in space returns to New Hampshire to fine it taken over by space monsters.
I saw it in his IMDB filmography but I didn't know it was something that got any kind of real release and didn't try to find it, sounds like it's worth seeing!
