The sheer number of times Hanna-Barbera recycled the exact same reskinned show and got away with it is amazing.

Goober and the Ghost Chasers, Josie and the Pussycats, The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan, Clue Club, Scooby Doo and its million reiterations... the list goes on and on.

Did Josie and the Pussycats start as a Hanna-Barbera cartoon, though?

I thought it was an Archie comic first even if HB added some Scooby-Doo-like elements for the cartoon.

Also, apparently the reason for Clue Club's existence was that Hanna-Barbera made it to replace Scooby-Doo on CBS when Scooby-Doo moved to ABC.

This was right behind clue club as my favorite of the scooby clones. The fact that there always was an actual ghost along with the fake one always made it satisfying to me as a kid. Hand me that specter detector!
