Technically the dog is barking at his front bumper, not his heels, and while I do like your reasoning, I'd argue that the events of this clip are suggestive more of The Tower than of The Fool.
Dog didn't warn him. Dog planned this for years. Delayed just long enough. Not shown in video: trunk popped open. Sausages flew everywhere. Dog mission: success.
Dog was sent back in time to prevent the crash, only to realize that it was he who caused it. The timeline remains whole.
