Culture always welcome here. (Haven't watched yet, but definitely going to be over the next week or so.)

I have a copy of the book they gave away with PBS donations, that was basically just transcript with relevant photos. I've tried to sell it to Half Price Books like five times and they always reject it.

I have this series on DVD, and it is *awesome*. Some of it is dated, but it's amazing how much of it holds up.... and how well it holds up.

If Skellig Michael at 14:00 looks familiar, its because its the refuge of Luke Skywalker in "The Force Awakens" and SW VIII.

These are good but I always preferred "The Western Tradition" with Eugen Weber. A bit drier, but so, so good. You can see all of them here!
Also JPL's "The Mechanical Universe and Beyond" is another great series.
(episode 42 @ 19:40 was the blinding revelation as a teen that suddenly helped me understand relativity (better)
Hell yeah, I watched a good many of those JPL programs on VHS back in the day. Good stuff. Is there any modern equivalent? What PBS churns out these days for science programming is either laughably stupid or a commercial for Lockheed Martin (or both).
