I love this. It sounds cheesy, but I think they were going for something upbeat to mimic the Gremlins theme.

As a child, I looked exactly like the My Buddy doll. Kids who owned those things named them after me.

That is why I kill people.

But that's exactly why My Buddy was horrifying. He was obviously a doll, he didn't look realistic or anything, but he had this weird eerie ere of kid who was once alive to him, like he was designed after someone's dead child.

Kid Sister (the girl version of My Buddy) wasn't nearly as horrifying. She just looked like a slightly older Cabbage Patch Kid.
