Oh my god, this is awesome!
This made me realize that it was amazing nobody had designed zoetrope slip mats for turntables yet, it seems like a natural for EDM DJs if nothing else.

So I googled it, and Animal Collective lifted this idea for an LP they put out last year.

Which makes me wonder if this idea is actually really old, since Animal Collective usually lift their ideas from stuff that's a lot more than a year old and a lot less clever (although to be fair, I do enjoy certain golden era, 80s new age myself sometimes, so I can't totally fault them for jacking early Enya and pawning it off to hipsters, even though I don't think they were actually joking.)

Anyhow, these are great. I was all set for it to be gimmicky and lame but nope, they're really good. I don't even care whether they were designed on a computer and made in an embroidery machine, they still rule.
