More than 40 years later, some people still think women aren't funny!
I've been in love with Mary Tyler Moore nce I was 5 years old, roughly 54 years. This classic episode was actually pretty edgy in its day. I watched it last night, and even without the edge, it was really funny.

In 1989 Tim Burton's Batman, Jack Nicholson makes a referece to this episode.When Vicky asks the Joker what he wants, and he says
"Oh, a little song, a little dance, Batman's head on a lance." I can only think of one other show where individual lines from individual episodes (instead of catch phrases) can be used as references, and that's Twin Peaks.

Like Mae West, she was sexy as hell, and funny as hell, and the sexy and the funny were the same thing: .For her it was a crooked, vulnerable smile, a vocal modulation that made you want to hug her. Making sexy funny, and funny sexy is always a gift to the world.
