What I want to know is if this is in the same continuity as Death Race (2008)
or Death Race 2 (2010), both films also carrying a Roger Corman producer credit? Or, is it the a direct sequel to the pre-reboot Death Race 2000 (1975)?

I'm gonna shoot from the hip on this one, and say that Death Race 2050 is a soft reboot of Death Race 2000, while Death Race was just a cash grab. Love is right- 2050 keeps the same feel, while Death Race neutered the original concept.

I was kind of kidding. It does look more like the original than the reboots do, but it hardly matters. I mean... more of this? Really?
