Robin Kestrel - 2017-02-11 According to 10 year old me, it was awesome.
Bort - 2017-02-11 The concept, at least, was pretty good. It was strongly implied that the Galactica reached earth in the distant past and inspired the legends of the Middle East and Greece: Apollo riding his chariot across the sky, Adam(a) as the first man, Iblis as the embodiment of evil, and so on.
(The opening credits narration -- delivered by Count Iblis for reasons unexplained -- suggested that the show takes place in the present, but I felt the names of the characters told a different tale. And indeed the Galactica officially reached earth in 1980, so I guess that settles that. But it doesn't explain why the character names tracked with mythological roles.)
