Shameful how many mainstream news corps. ran with this shit.

Shameful how little impact the truth will have on public opinion.

SolRo - 2017-02-13
Truth is a pre-9/11 mindset.

Accidie - 2017-02-13
We deserve to die of this, but we won't be around to see it.

global warming will not make us go extinct.

It will just kill millions or billions of us through lower farmable land and fresh water availability (and the wars that will cause). But unless we exterminate ourselves, there will probably always be a region that's habitable and over time our vastly reduced population and reduced fossil fuel use will bring temperatures down again.

also you will probably still be around to see the above shit go down.

Accidie - 2017-02-13
Oh don't worry., I've been being on us exterminating ourselves.

And, you know, there's still the chance that we'll manage to exterminate bees and the entire food chain will collapse over about 18 months.

There's a chance, yes, but bee populations are getting better overall. People only started becoming aware of colony collapse disorder when the problem was about at its worst. Things have been on an upward swing since then:

The Internet has just about killed old media. Most remaining organizations stay around through a combination of appealing to a niche audience and stirring shit up.
