I actually agree that what was found out about the DNC was unsurprising and more than a little boring. Basically, they were in the tank for who they thought was the strongest horse. That's small potatoes in comparison to the neoliberal establishment's open support for corporate colonialism.

Add to it that the Murdoch sons are eager to put Ailes holdovers out to pasture and retake the brand. A lot of Trump's rise over the other, more palatable candidates was the inner turmoil between the Murdoch sons and Ailes was preventing a cohesive Anti-Trump narrative from forming. The Kochs had the machinery ready to role, Ailes just wasn't able to get it moving fast enough, and then he was gone.
