Gwar is silly, stupid and the majority of their songs are bad. As an adult, watching their long-form videos is torturous. That said, they were hugely influential on me as a youngin' and have some material that I still enjoy.

As for their later stuff, I'm not too keen on it, either. It's easily dismissed on a whole, but there are some good songs nestled in there. They peaked with "This Toilet Earth" and steadily slid downhill from there. That album was less jokey (relative to their other material), had a greater proportion of listenable songs and sounded less like an Adam Sandler album with distortion. It also wasn't all over the place like some of their other stuff, most of those songs flow together fairly well, the production is good overall, Brockie's vocals/lyrics are on point and there are some good riffs.

I don't care much for most of their lounge songs, they always felt like they should have been part of a Gwar side project, but you can't deny the charm of "Gonna Kill U" or "Have You Seen Me?"

For what it's worth, I've known all the lyrics to Toilet for over 20 years now. I'm not sure how to feel about that, other than old as fuck.
